These drivers support 2nd Generation Intel® Core™ Processors with Intel® HD Graphics 3000/2000 and first generation Intel Core processors (formerly codenamed Arrandale and Clarkdale) with Intel® HD Graphics and the Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator 4500 Series (formerly codenamed Cantiga/Eaglelake). Intel® Graphics drivers (Beta) for Windows 8 are available today as part of Windows 8 Consumer Preview OS 8250 (In-box drivers). Right now the maximum screen resolution that I can set is 1024x768. I rebooted into Windows XP to confirm, and sure enough in Device Manager there are two instances of the display driver. Product: Mobile 4 Series Chipset Integrated Graphics ControllerĬapabilities: msi pm vga_controller bus_master cap_list rom Take a look at the output from "sudo lshw" command: Ubuntu 11.04 recognizes both but only configures one of them w/the i915 driver. Apparently there are two graphics Intel display chips available.
